For love I've been coming to Italy where I have the pleasure to follow my passion: art and painting.
Art has always been a subject of discussion in my family but it was much more focused on music. As someone who comes from Saxony in Germany it has been common for me to visit such excellent museums like the Gemäldegalerie (Old Masters Picture Gallery) or the Grüne Gewölbe (Green Vault) in Dresden, the manufacture of the precious Meissen porcelain in Meissen or the Bach museum in Leipzig. Saxony is a real jewel. Its art treasure permited me to grew up with some of the most beautiful art collections of the world.
During the reunification of Germany which allowed the preservation and construction of old and new art collections I was confronted with the serious side of life. The total economic collapse caused high unemployment and emigration, which prompted me to study economics.
During a one year study visit in France I've discoverd my passion for painting thanks to my new French friends. They have been leading me into galleries, expositions and a painter's studio where I could also practice painting. It was really fantastic and I still maintain good contact with them.
Later I started to work in Berlin and painted mainly in my spare time during the night. Foremost Potsdam with its wide parkland and its wounderful castles like Sans Soucis or Cecilienhof let my mind find its creativity.
Now I'm living in the Italian capital Rome.
Even if you found your love already or temporarily you gave up your hope to find it, Italy is always worth a visit for its culture, its delicious food and its heartiness.
