In 2009 I visited a wounderful Amedeo Modigliani (1884 - 1920) exposition in Bonn. Even if I've felt quite familiar with his artwork, his paintings impressed me again very strongly.

 

In particular this typical contrast between dark colours and vivid orange tones seems to me very attracting and inspires me again and again to paint some of his motifs:
